About Us

Our Vision is to be a constructive force in fostering inclusivity and meaningful aging in the community.

Our Mission is to engage and support older adults, enhancing their quality of life as they age, so they remain active and contributing members of the community.

Membership: Edgewater Village Chicago is a volunteer-led, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization open to any Chicago resident. There is no membership fee, and most of our programs are free. We began in 2016 in partnership with the City of Chicago’s Area Agency on Aging and are one of 20 villages associated with the city’s satellite senior centers. Subscribe to our biweekly newsletter to learn more about us.

“When I retired, I didn’t have a Plan B, so a Village member friend suggested I look into it. He thought it might be a good fit. Today, I’m fully involved and committed and get to spend time with outstanding, friendly, interesting and talented people. What a gift.”
